Our commitment: Recycling Fields was founded to improve industrial environmental performance. This policy defines how we apply that same standard to our own operations — not just our clients'. Environmental responsibility is not an add-on; it is central to our business identity and Vision 2030 alignment.
Section 01
Policy Statement
Recycling Fields Environmental Solutions is committed to conducting all business activities in an environmentally responsible manner. We recognize that our work — designing, implementing, and advising on environmental systems — carries a special obligation to lead by example.
This Environmental Policy applies to our own operations, our service delivery, and the guidance we provide to clients. It is reviewed annually by senior leadership and updated to reflect changes in our business, applicable regulations, and best practice.
This policy is publicly available and communicated to all employees, contractors, and partners working on behalf of Recycling Fields.
Section 02
Scope
This policy applies to:
- All Recycling Fields employees and leadership in Riyadh and across the Kingdom
- All contractors and subcontractors engaged on project delivery
- Our technology and service partners operating under Recycling Fields agreements
- All project sites where Recycling Fields personnel are present
- Our office operations, business travel, and supply chain choices
While we cannot unilaterally control client operations, we commit to advocating for environmental best practice in every engagement and embedding measurable environmental outcomes in all service agreements where possible.
Section 03
Water Management
Water stewardship is at the core of what we do. We apply the same discipline to our own water use that we recommend to clients:
- Monitor and record water consumption in our office and on all project sites under our management
- Specify water-efficient equipment and processes in all system designs
- Maximize water recovery rates in all treatment and desalination systems we design or operate
- Prevent water waste through proper system commissioning, monitoring, and maintenance protocols
- Report water performance metrics to clients and include water KPIs in all ESG deliverables

Section 04
Energy & Emissions
We recognize that energy efficiency is fundamental to environmental performance. Our commitments include:
- Design all energy systems to minimize consumption while meeting performance requirements
- Use AI-powered monitoring to identify and eliminate energy waste in client installations
- Track and report energy intensity metrics (kWh per unit output) for all managed systems
- Prioritize energy-efficient equipment selection in all procurement and specification work
- Support clients in setting and achieving science-based energy reduction targets aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and international frameworks
- Minimize business travel and prioritize digital collaboration where practical
We target a minimum 35% reduction in energy intensity for client systems compared to baseline, with results independently documented.
Section 05
Waste & Circularity
Our founding principle — that every waste stream is an untapped resource — guides our approach to waste across all operations:
- Apply a resource-recovery-first hierarchy: reduce, reuse, recover, then dispose responsibly
- Analyze all client waste streams for recovery potential before recommending disposal routes
- Minimize packaging and single-use materials in our office and field operations
- Ensure all waste generated on project sites is segregated and disposed of in compliance with Saudi NCEC regulations
- Track and document waste diversion rates for all managed projects
- Maintain records of waste manifests and disposal documentation for audit purposes
Section 06
Regulatory Compliance
Compliance with applicable environmental law is a baseline, not a ceiling. We commit to:
- Full compliance with all applicable Saudi environmental laws, NCEC regulations, and sectoral requirements
- Maintaining current knowledge of regulatory changes affecting our clients and operations
- Securing all required environmental permits and approvals before commencing project activities
- Reporting any environmental incident, near-miss, or regulatory non-conformance to the appropriate authority within required timelines
- Maintaining audit-ready documentation for all environmental activities under our management
Non-negotiable: No commercial consideration will lead Recycling Fields to recommend, facilitate, or conceal a violation of applicable environmental law. Our professional reputation depends on this commitment absolutely.
Section 07
Supply Chain
We recognize that our environmental impact extends beyond our direct operations. We commit to:
- Selecting technology partners and equipment suppliers who meet minimum environmental standards
- Requesting environmental credentials and certifications from significant suppliers
- Prioritizing locally sourced materials and equipment where quality and cost requirements are met, reducing transportation impact
- Including environmental requirements in all partner agreements and contractor briefs
- Progressively improving supplier environmental criteria as our procurement processes mature
Section 08
Reporting & Transparency
Environmental accountability requires public reporting. Our commitments include:
- Publishing this Environmental Policy publicly and updating it at least annually
- Reporting material environmental performance metrics as part of our annual company review
- Providing clients with accurate, verifiable environmental performance data for all managed systems
- Producing audit-ready documentation for all environmental activities under our management
- Reporting any significant environmental incident transparently to relevant stakeholders
We support the progressive disclosure of environmental performance data and will expand our public reporting as our measurement systems mature.
Section 09
Training & Culture
Environmental performance depends on people, not just systems. We commit to:
- Providing environmental awareness training to all employees at induction
- Ensuring all technical staff maintain current knowledge of environmental regulations and best practice relevant to their role
- Empowering any team member to halt an activity that presents an unacceptable environmental risk, without fear of consequence
- Recognizing and sharing examples of exceptional environmental performance within the team
- Continuously improving the environmental competence of our team through structured professional development
Section 10
Targets & Annual Review
This policy is reviewed annually by Recycling Fields senior leadership. Each review cycle includes:
- Assessment of performance against the previous year's environmental targets
- Setting of specific, measurable environmental targets for the coming year
- Review of regulatory changes and update of compliance obligations
- Evaluation of any environmental incidents or near-misses and corrective actions taken
- Assessment of stakeholder feedback on our environmental performance
Current targets include achieving zero non-conformances with applicable Saudi environmental regulations across all managed projects, maintaining 100% waste documentation compliance, and progressively increasing the proportion of client projects with formally documented environmental KPIs.
This policy was last reviewed and approved by company leadership in January 2026.
